I N S P I R E D B Y P E T R A C O L L I N S On the left is the original photo taken by Petra Collins, and the photo above is one that I took of myself which has been hugely inspired by the work of Collins. I believe that the original image in which I had been inspired by was taken on a film or disposable camera, where as I used a DSLR camera and edited it. |
My original images - Above is a picture that I captured of my friend Kate whilst she wasn't looking. I really like capturing people off guard, when they aren't aware. I believe this creates very interesting images as the subject is not under any pressure others to look or act in a certain way.
I edited the temperature of this photo to bring out the cool tones, yet I still tried to maintain the yellow tinge to make it appear similar to the colouring of a disposable image, as that is what I had in mind. |
My original images - This is a photo that I captured when I was with a friend just when it was getting dark outside, he was laying on the floor, I decided to capture it as I liked the composition and the lighting. I believed it looked rather pretty and personal. I class this photo as a portrait, even though it is not a picture of my friend, it is still a small detail of him.
I edited the temperature of the photo to make it appear slightly more soft and warm, to really create a warm and cosy atmosphere within the photo. |
